Postdoctoral Fellow

Application Requirements:

  1. a. Possess a doctoral degree and relevant research experience corresponding to the position.
  2. b. Have published related research results in top international journals and conferences.
  3. c. Be proficient in both spoken and written English, and have excellent programming skills.
  4. d. Have a strong passion and sense of responsibility for scientific research, independent research capabilities, good communication skills and a spirit of teamwork.
  5. e. Postdoctoral applicants must meet the relevant regulations of Westlake University for postdoctoral management and be no older than 35 years old.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. a. Independently conduct relevant research topics and publish high-level academic papers;
  2. b. Independently or collaboratively apply for national, provincial, municipal or enterprise cooperative research projects;
  3. c. Assist in guiding doctoral students and interns;
  4. d. Participate in the daily management and construction of the laboratory.

Compensation and Benefits:

  1. a. Competitive salary based on individual research capabilities will be offered, and details can be discussed during the interview. The laboratory will provide a stable working environment and first-class research platform, and assist in applying for relevant postdoctoral projects, etc.

  3. c. The university offers a comprehensive training system and has established programs such as the “Westlake University Outstanding Postdoctoral Award” and the “Westlake University Outstanding Female Postdoctoral Award”.

Funding policies:

  1. a. Postdoctoral researchers can enjoy the postdoctoral support policies in Hangzhou.
  2. b. For those who receive funding from the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation and the Zhejiang Province Postdoctoral Merit Project, Hangzhou will provide a 1:1 matching grant.
  3. c. For postdoctoral researchers who remain in Hangzhou after completing their postdoctoral research, Hangzhou will offer a subsidy of 400,000 yuan per person.
  4. d. For global graduates with a bachelor’s degree or higher who come to work in Hangzhou and meet the requirements (including returnees from overseas studies within five years and foreign talents), Hangzhou will provide a living subsidy, with 100,000 yuan for doctoral graduates.
  5. e. They can apply for recognition as high-level talents in Hangzhou and enjoy corresponding policies.

Visiting Student/Personnel

Application Requirements:

  1. a. Undergraduate, postgraduate or doctoral students majoring in computer science or related fields (both current students and graduates are eligible);
  2. b. Possess good English reading and writing skills;
  3. c. Have a solid foundation in data analysis and programming.

Compensation and Benefits:

  1. a. The salaries of visiting personnel and visiting students are determined through discussion.

We can offer:

  1. a. Computing power: West Lake has a 1000-card computing cluster (A100/V100/A800/H800), and is continuously purchasing. The group will also purchase at least 50 4090 cards for a computing cluster. I am well aware of the importance of computing power. Therefore, within the limits of financial resources and market supply, the laboratory will do its best to provide sufficient resources to enable everyone to fully devote themselves to scientific research.

  2. b. Space: The laboratory covers an area of 200 square meters, offering ample space and advanced facilities.

  3. c. Benefits: West Lake University offers generous benefits, including single dormitory rooms for doctoral students. Outstanding doctoral students are eligible for the Dean’s Scholarship. Salaries are paid on a monthly basis.

  4. d. Guidance: There should be at least one 1-on-1 meeting per week. I hope that when you encounter problems, you will communicate with me more often and be proactive. There is also a group meeting once a week for the entire team. Let’s not go through the motions but have efficient communication.

  5. e. Internship: Help you find a stage to showcase your talents in the world’s top institutions, including but not limited to the school and enterprise resources mentioned in my personal resume.

  6. f. Communication: The team has sufficient funds to encourage students to participate in academic conferences and provide reimbursement for related expenses (including accommodation, transportation, and registration fees).

  7. g. Daily life: The laboratory often organizes team-building activities, advocating the principle of “work hard, play harder”. Moreover, there is an administrative assistant in the laboratory who usually handles a series of daily administrative and logistical affairs to ensure that researchers can focus on their research work.
